This is a very clean, well laid out and quite comprehensive zoo. The zoo is quite extensive, plan a full day of walking. Pandas are one of the favorite animals here.
Visit Washington Monument
No visit to DC is complete without visiting the Washington Monument. It is worth seeing and is quite impressive close up. Only thing is you can not go up till 2019.
Visit United States Capitol
The US Capitol has great architecture. To see much of the inside you have to take a tour. There is a small exhibit about the history of the Capitol without a tour.
Visit Smithsonian Institution
The stunning Smithsonian Institution Building is known as “The Castle” and is at the heart of the many museums that make up the Smithsonian.
Visit White House
The tour is of the east wing – blue room, red room, green room, library, etc. There’s secret service agents posted throughout the self-guided tour to assist with any questions.
